Description
A large ordnance dump at Tincourt, showing a variety of neatly stacked shells of different calibres, which have been delivered by standard gauge trains from coastal French ports. Note the standard gauge train tracks in the foreground. From here the shells will be loaded into narrow gauge wagons and transported by small diesel or steam locomotives to the heavy and field artillery batteries located behind the front line trenches.
