History / Summary
Associated with 6862 Lieutenant Ernest Tasman Hearne who enlisted on 30 June 1915 and served as a Gunner with 4 Field Artillery Brigade. He was promoted to lieutenant and served with 2 Division Artillery. He was gassed in late 1917 and returned to Australia on 2 March 1919. During World War Two he served as a major with an Anti Tank Battery of the Royal Australian Artillery. His service number was N1199827.
