Australian DCPU tank suit trousers : Major D D Fleming, Royal Australian Armoured Corps
Tank suit trousers in disruptive pattern camouflage. The trousers have a concealed zip fly and inset side pockets. A further two patch pockets are sewn on the outside of the trousers above each knee. The pocket on the right leg has a horizontal zipper. The left pocket has a concealed vertical zipper on the inner side. A fifth pocket is inset below the right knee with a zip fastening. The pockets are positioned for ease of use when the wearer is seated inside a vehicle. There are none on the back of the trousers. The waistband has seven belt loops and a button fastened fabric tab on each side of the fly for adjustment.
These trousers were part of a two piece uniform type issued to members of the Royal Australian Armoured Corps (RAAC) only. They were worn by Major Danny D Fleming, OAM, of the RAAC, while he was serving in East Timor with the United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor (UNTAET).
