Chess board : Gunner W A Bryant, 2/15 Field Regiment
Description
Hinged wooden chess board. The white squares have been painted with thick cream paint which has now darkened. The board has been made in two even pieces and is held together with two four screw hinges. A strip of metal, also secured with screws, swivels across the centre back of the board to hold it rigid when it is open and in use. All the screws are longer than the depth of the board and have been filed level with the top of the board.
History / Summary
