Description

The entrance to the remains of the asylum which was used by the British as a Casualty Clearing Station (CSS) until the German advance in April 1918. This asylum was then one of the targets of the Batteries of the 36th Australian Heavy Artillery Brigade in April 1918 until its subsequent recapture.
