Woven cloth patch of the United States flag : US Navy SEALS
Description
Velcro backed woven cloth patch of the United States flag in red, white and blue cotton, with a gold border.
History / Summary
Badges such as this were worn on the uniforms of US Navy SEAL (SEa-Air-Land) special forces teams working with RAN boarding parties on HMAS Kanimbla in the Persian Gulf during Operation 'Slipper'. The Velcro backing ensures easy removal and replacement, since no identifying badges were worn when on operations.
