Outdoor portrait of NX173964 Corporal (Cpl) Ronald Neale Petteit and his twin brother 2217128 (NX173963) Cpl Reginald Trevor Petteit in front of a tree at the Jungle School in Canundra. The inscription on the photograph reads, "well here we are again good lookin' (whats cooking), Ron". The brothers from West Kogarah, NSW, taught as weapons instructors at the Jungle School before joining Z Special Unit in late 1944. The Z Special Unit was charged with infiltrating Japanese strongholds, gathering intelligence and sabotaging enemy operations.
