Embroidered Afghan Traditional Cap : Afghan forces
Description
White cotton cap embroidered with circular designs in red, yellow, grey and black thread. Small mirrored glass sequins are stitched into the design. The front of the cap has an arched cut away.
History / Summary
Collected by 554630 Major Colin Johnston from an abandoned Taliban position at Kandahar airport. Major Johnston was Officer Commanding 152 Signal Squadron 1999-2002 and was Communications Officer of Task Force 64, the Special Air Service Regiment group in Afghanistan, from November 2001 to February 2002.
