One of the final objectives in the Third Battle of Ypres. The ridge is seen here from the 'Helles' pillbox in the position of the 4th Division. These heights and the hill and pillboxes of Molenaarelsthoek, on the ridge in the distance, were then held by the enemy. In the foreground is part of the 14th Battalion under cover of two captured shelters.
