Description
The shrapnel pitted stone archway leading into the town square. At the time the front line was about three kilometres away. According to tradition, Corbie was a headquarters of the English King Henry V during his march to Agincourt in 1415. Note an unidentified flag flying above the crest at the top of the arch and two sculptures on either side, one of which is missing its head (left).
