Repatriation film
Senator Edward Davis Millen, Minister in charge of Australia's repatriation scheme. Mr Nicholas Colston Lockyer ISO who organised the department leaving headquarters and Major M B Ryan, Chief Clerk. Scene at the Victorian branch of the Department at East Melbourne where returned discharged soldiers apply for positions. Wool sorting and classing being taught to ex-soldiers by the Department at the Working Men's College. Disabled men undergo vocational training at Collingwood Technical School. Commonwealth artifical limb factory at Victoria Barracks Sydney. Patients arrive to be fitted with artifical limbs. This film was made with the intention of publicising the work of the Repatriation Department and encouraging industry to offer jobs to returned soldiers.
