Long Range Recce Patrol [LRRP]
Description
The first scene in this film is of Q3747 (QX40903) Lieutenant Sydney Swain Appleby, with a short explanation on sound track. Lieutenant Appleby, OC No 5 Patrol, 5 Australian Division Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol (LRRP). Patrol prepares and loads vehicles for patrol of Cape York area starting from Townsville to Cairns, Mareeb-Cooktown-Portland Roads-Wenlock-Coen, thence by telegraph line south to Charters Towers-Townsville.
