WRNS [Women's Royal Naval Service]
Description
The story of a woman of the Women's Royal Naval Service who after completing two months at the Royal Naval College Greenwich is posted to a Naval Air station. She describes her duties as a teleprinter operator and the living quarters and facillities at the Naval Air Station. Included in her narrative is a brief survey of the variety of duties women undertake in the WRNS. Shown are women parachute packers, despatch riders, telephonists and wireless operators. The film ends with her receiving the message on the teleprinter of the sighting of an enemy battleship, conduct of the battle in the operations room and the enemy ships sinking.
