At 1030 hours 28 August 1943 General Sir Thomas Blamey, GBE, KCB, CMG, DSO, ED, Major General G.A. Vasey, CB, CBE, DSO, and Brigadier K.W. Eather, CBE, DSO, ED, inspected 2/33rd Australian Infantry Battalion parade held in the Port Moresby area. WX299 Lieutenant-Colonel T R W Cotton MC, CO 2/33rd Battalion with General Sir Thomas Blamey.
