Description

Akyab Island, Burma showing two Australians of No 267 Squadron RAF visit some Burmese. 8th Indian Supply Despatch Company loading used chutes that have been brought back by air from D.Z.'s at the front. Maunubyn, 8th Indian Supply Despatch Coy RIASC packing field service rations for dropping to advanced troops. Re-packing chutes for dropping. Lashing rations in pairs for dropping. Rangoon first drop inside the relieved town. Railway Station blasted by Liberator aircraft. Shwe Dagon pagoda, outstanding landmark of Rangoon, beside which this drop was made (No 267 Squadron RAF).
