Vehicles decorated in streamers and palm fronds follow the jeep. Ground level view of the motorcade. The jeep comes to a stop in the street which is lined with local dignitaries and veterans. Medium shot of Frank Partridge VC in uniform at attention at the Nambucca Shire Chambers. Though the original film title is 'Finchaven hero' the action for which Frank Partridge was awarded the Victoria Cross was in the attack and capture of Base 5, Bougainville 24 July 1945.
