Troops load RAAF helicopters with recaptured rice DPR/TV/525
Description
While the men of 6 RAR were hunting a Viet Cong battalion during Operation Ingham they discovered a large Viet Cong food cache in the jungle of the Phouc Tuy Province. This item shows troops loading bags of rice into 9 Squadron RAAF Iroquois helicopters for transport back to the Vietnamese government authorities and redistribution to the villages. Identified are 4717545 Trooper Maxwell Nicolson, 213922 Corporal Lawrence "Lofty" Bunworth, 216502 Trooper Douglas Lennox and 15261 Lieutenant Ross Guymer all of 1 APC Squadron.
