Private Sydney Augustus Devenport

Private Sydney Devenport of Kent Town, South Australia was married to Nellie B Devenport and had three children under 18 years of age when he enlisted in Melbourne on the 6th July 1915. He also had three sons serving in the AIF. Private Devenport survived three years of the war serving on the Suez Canal in Egypt and later in France with the 7th mobile Veterinary Section. He was 52 years old when we returned to Australia on 6 June 1918.
