Description

1512, 1578, VX55289, V7592, V24239 Major (Maj) Charles James (Nobby) Clarke MM DCM and Baar, 14th Battalion. Maj Clarke served in the First World War Army in the 14th Battalion. He was awarded the Military Medal in 1916 for repairing telephone lines under heavy fire. In 1918, he recieved the DCM for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He served in the Second World War with the rank of Major, undertaking AIF training and admin duties until 1942.
