Pilot Officer Ronald Cecil Martin
Description
Pilot Officer Ronald Cecil Martin enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force on 5 December 1941. He trained as a pilot, and went on to serve with 460 Squadron, based in the United Kingdom. On 25 February 1944, Pilot Officer Martin’s Lancaster aircraft failed to return from an operation targeting Augsberg, Germany. He and his crew were later found to have died in the operation. Pilot Officer Martin is buried at Durnbach War Cemetery, Bayern, Germany.
