Able Seaman Peter Russell Mayor
Description
Able Seaman Peter Russell Mayor enlisted in the Royal Australian Navy in Melbourne, Victoria, on 6 July 1943. After his initial training at Flinders Naval Depot, Victoria, he was posted to HMAS Shropshire. On this vessel, he served in the Pacific, including the waters of New Guinea, the Philippines and Japan. Able Seaman Mayor was discharged on 24 June 1946.
