Description
Collection relating to 37335 Gunner Roy Mercer, 11 Field Artillery Brigade, 1917-1918; 2004. It comprises a letter and diary describing the journey from Sydney to England via Colombo, Port Suez, Taranto and Cherbourg. The diary details the countryside and people, particularly in Italy and France. Also in the collection is biographical information about Mercer, compiled by his son in 2004.
