Description
Embroidered silk postcard made in France during the First World War. Of envelope design, this postcard features a semicircle composed of the Union Jack, Russian, Italian, Belgian, French and Serbian flags. An intricate design of white stars is interwoven with a string of blue forget me nots and a single purple and yellow pansy. A small card insert features the message "To my dear wife", illustrated with cherries.
