Far from you but thinking of you
Description
Embroidered silk postcard made in France during the First World War. Of envelope design, this postcard features a shield composed of the Union Jack below the Commonwealth Crown surrounded by the French, American, Belgian and Italian flags. Small blue and red flowers also feature in the design. A small card insert features the message "A Happy Birthday", illustrated with a snow covered bridge.
