Letter and envelope from George Courtney Benson, 6 July 1915
Description
Letter and envelope relating to the First World War service of 2180 Corporal George Courtney Benson, 3rd Field Artillery Brigade. This letter was written at Gallipoli in July 1915. Benson writes of his hopes the war would soon be over, and laments the difficulty in obtaining suitable paper for letter-writing. This letter also contains a detailed description of Benson's dugout, including some sketches.
