Letters between John Simpson Kirkpatrick and his Mother, 1914
Letters relating to the First World War service of 202 Private John Simpson Kirkpatrick, 3rd Field Ambulance. The letters were exchanged between John Simpson and his mother, Sarah Kirkpatrick, between 1 March and 25 December 1914. Four of the letters were written on board the SS Yankalilla, two were written from Blackboy Camp in Western Australia, two at unknown locations and two were written by his mother in South Shields, England.
