Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of 202 Private John Simpson Kirkpatrick. Collections consist of a series of letters exchanged between John Simpson Kirkpatrick, his mother Sarah Kirkpatrick and sister Annie Kirkpatrick, spanning the years 1909 to 1915. Subjects include his life before the war and his enlistment and service with the 3 Field Ambulance at Gallipoli. Later correspondence concerns his death, MID and medals.
