Description
Scrapbook relating to the First World War and Second World War service of Private Albert James Duffey, 2nd Battalion, Devonshire Regiment, British Expeditionary Force. The scrapbook dates from between 1914 and 1942 and describes Duffey's personal experiences as well as general reflection on the war. Many of the articles and pictures in the scrapbook have been taken from a long running serial titled 'Twenty Years After', edited by Major General Sir Erenst Swinton. Also included are several newspaper articles describing Duffey's return to England in 1950 for a reunion of the 2nd Battalion, Devonshire regiment.
