Description

Diary relating to the First World War service of 1586 Private Verner Gladders Knuckey, 8th Light Horse Regiment. Although the diary is dated 10 May 1916, it provides an account of Private Knuckey's first ten months as a soldier, describing his excitement at joining the army, the journey to Egypt and his experiences there.
