Description
Diary relating to the First World War service of 1586 Private Verner Gladders Knuckey, 8th Light Horse Regiment. The diary was written by Private Knuckey on 4 January 1917 and recalls the activities of the 8th Light Horse Regiment between 8 August [1916] and September [1916]. In the diary, Private Knuckey describes patroling the Sinai and recounts the attack on Bir-el-Mazar on the 17 September.
