Royal Australian Navy white ensign : Operation Catalyst
Description
Royal Australian Navy white ensign. On the upper hoist a manufacturers label complete with the manufacturers details, the year of manufacture, a NATO Stock Number (NSN) for Australia and code size of '8 BDTH' is machine sewn to the flag. Attached to the flag by a nylon halyard is a metal inglefield clip. At the end of this halyard is another inglefield clip. The fly of the flag is heavily soiled with a brown stains.
History / Summary
This Royal Australian Navy white ensign was flown on board HMAS Toowoomba during Operation Catalyst in 2007. HMAS Toowoomba is an ANZAC Class Guided Missile Frigate of MEKO 200 design. It was built by Tenix Defence Systems. It is the second ship to bear the name 'Toowoomba' in the Royal Australian Navy.
