Artist statement

While in isolation I decided to re-work a screen I had, using the acrylics and oils that were available to me. I painted the reverse side as well.

I enjoy the patterns of nature, the striking colours that bounce off each other, the twists and turns of grasses and branches. I also have a love of strong colour and found I enjoyed painting this very much, even though I was short on materials.

I am mainly self taught and intuitive. I work quickly and boldly.
