There is a velcro tab for size adjustment at the front. The lower legs each have a pair of adjustable velcro tabs to ensure a snug fit. There are large expanding patch pockets on each thigh, with overlapping flaps and velcro tabs for closure. The trousers are entirely lined with a black charcoal impregnated fabric. A green label sewn inside the rear waistband is printed in black 'SUIT, PROTECTIVE, NBC No. 1 MK IV, D.P.M.
