Foam sleeping pad : Special Air Services Regiment
Description
Closed-cell foam sleeping pad. The pad, which has one pale grey and one dark grey surface, is moulded in a series of 'ridges and valleys', helping to insulate the user from ground temperatures. The word 'RIDGEREST' is impressed in the foam at the top edge of the pad.
History / Summary
Used by an Australian Special Air Services (SAS) Regiment trooper in Afghanistan, 2002.
