Description
An Australian First World War recruitment poster for the Sportsmen's 1000 issued by the State Parliamentary Recruiting Committee in 1917. One of a series of long rectangular posters which target specific types of sportsmen and use sporting terms particular to their sport to attract recruits. Text only the posters are printed in blue and red ink, and framed within a blue border.
