Description

Pair of German M1893 side-laced pattern leather ankle boots (Schnurschuhe). The boots are worn from use. A central leather seam runs up the front of each boot. The boots feature six metal eyelets for leather side-laces and hobnailed soles.

Standard ankle boots worn by a member of the German army. This pair was found at Vaire Wood on 12 July 1918 and collected by a member of 17 Battalion.
