Other Ranks private purchase stone grey woollen trousers : Field Artillery, German Army
German Army Field Artillery Other Ranks pair of private purchase stone grey (steingrau) woollen trousers (tuchhose) with scarlet piping in the outside seam of both legs. There is a pocket with a buttoned diagonal slit opening in the front of both hips, and a pocket for a fob watch in the front right side. It has a small brass ring above it. The concealed buttons on the fly and the ones on the waistband for braces are made from field grey plastic(?) that is impressed with the tailor's name. Across the back of the waistband is a tape adjustment strap with a buckle. A pocket with a buttoned slit opening has been let into the right side of the seat. A pair of buttoned-holed black leather instep straps are fitted to both of the leg cuffs.
