Informal portrait of 341 Trooper (Tpr) Norman McLeod Bethune, 8th Light Horse Regiment. Tpr Bethune, an irrigation farmer from Sale, Victoria, enlisted in September 1914, serving at Gallipoli and in Palestine. He died of wounds at Gaza on 19 April 1917, aged 31.
