NCOs field grey woollen trousers : Infanterie-Regiment Nr 55, German Army
Description
German Army field grey woollen trousers (tuchhose). There is a pocket with a vertical slit opening just in front of the top of the side seam on both hips. The concealed buttons on the fly, and the ones on the waistband for braces, are made from grey pressed metal. They are impressed in the reverse with maker's names including 'OUR OWN MAKE'. Across the back of the waistband is a tape adjustment strap with a buckle. A pocket with a slit opening has been let into the right side of the seat.
