Description
Sailor's cap with 'Sea Cadet Brigade' tally ribbon, detached from cap. Cap body is made from cotton duck, painted white, with a pair of brass ventilation eyelets to each vertical side of the cap.
History / Summary
Edgar George 'Ted' Short was born in Waverley, Sydney in 1921 and attended Sydney Grammar, Waverley Public and Randwick High Schools.
Short was a member of the Sea Cadets during the 1930s and was working as a toolmaker during the Second World War. This was a reserved occupation during the war and as a result, he had no military service.
