Brassard : Operation Acolyte, Commonwealth Games 2006
Description
Brassard in Disruptive Pattern Camouflage Uniform (DPCU) fabric with Velcro strips for adjustment. A woven fabric Australian flag patch in red, white and blue cotton is sewn immediately below the slit for the shoulder strap, and underneath this is a circular blue, orange and yellow badge with the tri-services eblem and the words 'OPERATION ACOLYTE 2006 MELBOURNE COMMONWEALTH GAMES'.
History / Summary
DPCU brassard worn by members of Operation Acolyte which involved 2,600 Australian Defence Force personnel, from across the three services, performing a range of specialist roles to provide security, ceremonial and general support for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games.
