Souvenir Of The Great War
Description
Embroidered silk postcard made in France during the First World War. Of envelope design, this postcard features letters of the message composed from flags. The message on the postcard reads "Souvenir of the Great War" where "G", consists of the Union Jack, Russian, Belgian and Italian flags. The letter "W", is also composed of flags and features the French and American flags. A small card insert features an illustration of a spotted dog carrying a basket of pink roses in its mouth and the message "Sweet Remembrance".
