Portrait of 415103 Flying Officer (FO) Edward George Singleton, RAAF, of Greenmount, WA. FO Singleton was a wireless operator and air gunner with No. 215 Squadron, and flew Wellington bombers on operations over England, Africa, Egypt, India and Burma. He had been married only one week before leaving Australia on 19 July 1941. He returned in October 1945. FO Singleton's father, 1829 Private Francis Singleton, served with the Royal Army Medical Corps during the Boer War, and later with the 14th Field Ambulance, AIF, during the First World War (P06082.002).
