Studio portrait of an unidentifed soldier posed as if firing a Vickers Maxim .303 machine-gun. The gun is displayed with ammunition belt and box and a handfull of "spent" cartridges have been arranged near the operator's feet. The water cooling container and hose attachment necessary for the operation of this weapon has been excluded.
