Description

Rectangular olive green kit bag with metal zip running across the top. The zip has a canvas flap sewn onto one side that covers it for travel. At either end of the zip, canvas tabs have been sewn onto the bag. One tab has a metal rivet in the centre for a kit bag lock. On one side of the zip the service details '2784336 SIG S L WELLER' are written in a decorative style in black permanent marker. On the opposite side of the zip is written the number '1346'. The handles are a lighter khaki colour and have been sewn to the bag with patches added inside the bag to reinforce them. Inside the bag are two pockets with elacticised tops. No makers labels are visible inside.

History / Summary

Stuart Lindsay Weller was born in Nabiac NSW on 12 August 1945. He served in the Australian Army as a National Serviceman with the regimental number 2784336 during the Vietnam War. Weller served in 104 Signal Squadron with the rank of signalman. Weller arrived in Vietnam on 02 May 1967 and returned to Australia on 30 March 1968.
