< Previous Record | Next Record >Souvenir program for concerts held during the First World War. This program is for a series of concerts at the Prahran Town Hall during the first week of April 1916. The concerts were organised in aid of the Prahran Patriotic and Red Cross Funds. Saturday 1 April 1916 saw the Grand Scottish Concert with pipe marches, dances and vocal performances by the Prahran and District Scottish Society. A 'grand display' was presented by the Toorak and South Yarra Try Society Boys on Monday 3 April 1916. The program for Tuesday 4 April 1916 was provided by members of the Victorian Railways Institute Musical Society with May Lyle and Aimee Smith. Combined state schools and a masked troupe appeared the following two days. The program features advertisements, photographs of royalty and Allied commanders as well as details of stalls being maintained for the duration of the event.
