Description
Souvenir playbill produced during the First World War. This photographic copy of a playbill, written in German, is for a farce in three acts entitled 'Das Stiftungsfest [The foundation celebration]' and was written by G von Moser. The performance was held at Deutsches Theatre in Trial Bay Internment camp between 16 and 18 September 1916. The playbill is illustrated with a group of men wearing top hats and great coats leaving a club and walking down a dimly lit street.
