Pre enlistment studio portrait of 3216 Private (Pte) Edwin James Wright, 2nd Australian Pioneers of Middle Park, Vic. A blacksmith prior to enlistment he embarked with the 7th Reinforcements on board HMAT Hororata on 23 November 1916. Pte Wright died in hospital of pneumonia on 13 March 1917, he was 40 years of age. Pte Wright is buried at the Durrington Cemetery, Wiltshire, England.
