Home movie collection related to 55479 Lieutanant (Lt) John McGhie, 161 (Independent) Reconnaissance Flight, South Vietnam 1970-1971. Contains footage taken around the 161 (Independent) Reconnaissance Flight unit area at Nui Dat, including Luscombe Airfield; living quarters; aerial footage, local people, buildings and transport; signage reading 'Big Daddy Country', and 'Otter air service'; Australian Army aircraft in flight; children and young people at a local school; local agriculture. This is the first of five reels of film held by the Memorial related to Lt McGhie's service.
