Portrait of 3395 Corporal (Cpl) James Davie Renner, 4th Division Signals Company, on a despatch motorcycle. Cpl Renner, of Fremantle, WA, wears a sheepskin vest to ward off the cold in what was one of the coldest winters in decades on the Somme. (See also P10550.014 and P10550.029)
